Manta Cruise Reviews

We understand that our guests have expectations and so we take each comment into consideration and always do our best to give the best holidays. Check out what our guests have to say about us!

I don’t believe in perfection, but Manta Cruise is as close to it as it can get.
Starting from the organisational matters before our arrival, throughout the twelve days of cruise, we’ve been given very professional, warm and kind treatment. The cruise director is very helpful, organised, thoughtful and knowledgeable about the Maldives and the dive sites. And everything he does, he does it with a big smile on his face. The crew is super sweet: hard working, approachable and friendly. Big thanks to the chef for paying special attention to my food intolerancies! The boat is nice, clean, with lot’s of open space to enjoy lying in the sun. The best of all is how everyone (all the dive guides and the crew) made my 200th dive celebration so special, with underwater surprise, cocktails, cake… They even called four whalesharks to come in the evening to celebrate with us smile emoticon. Joking aside, Manta Cruise is the liveaboard to be in the Maldives and I would warmly recommend it to anyone. Many thanks for the wonderful experience and unforgetable moments!

South trip is different, had same amazing experience but am not a channel dive fan
If you like channel dives, then going the south route is for you. You dive mostly channels (hit big or miss, shorter dives). But the best sightings we had were outside of the channel. I was with another boat 2x before and I personally liked the dives sites in the south+north atolls better. However, the whale sharks and later mantas at Foarmulah were to die for. Food was good enough to gain a few pounds. There are 2 improvements I would make: have divemasters with better knowledge of the local dive sites (cruise director knew them and gave very detailed briefings and has been very active in pointing things out under water – the other divemasters didn’t have the experience – however, I have to say, they were all very safety oriented, whcih we all appreciated), AC in the room is either full on or off (just like the other boat I was on) – not sure why this is so hard to figure out. There are some dive sites where you can see devastating effects of global warming.

Incredible week… great diving!
Just came back from a week on board Manta Cruise. Besides the diving, which was obviously fantastic, the crew was incredible and made this trip memorable. The food was second to none, with great variety and all the special requests taken care of. Cabins were kept clean and tidy, and they were comfortable and in good condition. Due to the lower level of experience of the divers on this trip, the Cruise Director (Thomas) booked an extra guide last minute for the entire safari: this was done to make sure we were all well looked after and also to allow more flexibility during the dives. This was an extra cost for the Operator but that was NOT reflected on us guests at all. Safety being their no1 priority at all times, all the dive masters had at least 5000+ dives, most of them in Maldives. In addition to the service, the kindness of the crew members and the food, I would like to underline Thomas’s and Olga’s (the other guide) incredible attention to us guests at all times, above and under water. Last but not least, Thomas is a very talented videographer, and he makes a video of the trip with footage ONLY recorded during the trip… totally worth it! You can’t go wrong with them… I will be back I am sure! Thanks for this great experience!

Amazing time with Manta cruise
The manta cruise was a very comfortable and enjoyable liveaboard experience. Not only are the dive guides very knowledgeable about the dive sites, they are also very friendly and fun. The entire crew on board was very helpful and friendly. The trip as a result was really good especially since the sea life we saw was amazing. The dive guides’ knowledge definitely helped spot good sea life and for most of the dives, we were able to dive without other divers from other boats. I would definitely recommend this boat to anyone planning to go to the Maldives. Only thing to watch out is to be very clear on the equipment you need to rent on board – using the special requests column for every equipment not mentioned in the form is a must.

Superb snorkeling in the Maldives above the divers
As, one guest said it, “once in a lifetime trip in the Maldives diving and snorkeling”. I was a snorkeler, I do not dive, I was explained how and where to snorkel each location during the diver’s briefing. I wore a bright colored Life Jacket so I could easily be seen in open water. During snorkeling besides all the hundreds of fish I also observed shark, sting ray and manta rays. The Manta Dive master assigned a crew member specifically to watch and guide me during my open ocean snorkeling while he was underwater with his divers. As I listened during the briefings it was clearly stated: “this how and where they were diving. Safety was first and foremost explained to us. The Captain provided a smooth and safe trip. The crew provide us with the upmost service from start to finish. The meals were superb 5***** I hope to possibly return to the Manta Cruise in 2-3 years for a second “once in a lifetime trip” Thank you ,Thomas the dive master the captain and his crew.

World Class All Around
Manta Cruise is the real deal. We spent time at a resort in the Maldives and found that the service, activities, and food were much better aboard this live aboard. This is the way to dive the Maldives and not miss out on quality of service.

Amazing trip, all I dreamed about.
The negative first: Smell in the rooms. This was the final trip before dry docking, and it smelled a bit damp in all rooms. But I got used to it, and left the door open to air out, and everything was OK again. Everything else was great. The food spectacular, drinks great, dives amazing, fun and knowledgable dive masters, making us feel safe, even when some of the dives were a bit challenging. The Manta Cruise was a great boat with a great crew.

Very good and the staff are fantastic XXL Cruise.
Both me and my wife loved it, a high light being the night dive with tawny nurse sharks

I highly recommend trips on the Manta Cruise
I have been on several liveaboard trips and this one was the best by far. Thomas and Olga are truly passionnate and do their utmost to ensure you see stuff under water and have a great time..The boat is very comfortable with plenty of space to relax and the food is good! Thomas handles everything with professionnalism (before, during and after the trip). Hats off to the team!

Simply the best live-aboard diving cruise ever
We have been really spoiled with unforgettable moments , the climax being 7 manta rays coming to play behind the boat and turning around us during for 4 hours … As well as another day 2 whale sharks playing, and the Sharks, and the Rays (even a curious Ray guitar) and …. the magic of the Maldives, the very good choice/ variety of dives ( Thila, wrecks, walls, …) and the exceptionally motivated and passionate crew and guides – a very special thanks for Thomas and a bravo for Olga, the two professional guides, and all the crew the captains Battery and wade , the cocktail master waza, the chef cook Obey, the kind Ahmed … Thanks all we will sure come back – only if you are all still on the boat – have safe dives and trips – we will miss you but will keep these special moments for long
